We’re back and we want to hear from you!
Creating a new world needs a great deal of support.
So much of what’s happening around the world is counterproductive and is leading to detrimental effects in our lives, our neighbors’ lives, and our non-human relatives who share our planet. With your help, we want to define a moral direction to guide us and our relationships to each other and to our environment.
The current climate situation demands our full attention giving us a great number of opportunities to engage. A good place to start is to think about what might be possible in your own lives.
A sampling of some of these opportunities might include:
dealing with your anxiety around the changing climate
building individual resilience
utilizing existing renewable energy resources
implementation of Indigenous knowledges - relationality, reciprocity, gifting economy, connections with nature
re-wilding
engaging with your local community to advance climate interventions
food security and renewable agriculture
moral advancement
Hopefully, this list gets you thinking about things you can do where you live. What would be on your list? Every community has different needs that you can speak to and advocate for.
Here at Groundswell Climate Collective, we are developing a mentorship program that would support young adults who care about the climate and want to create positive change in their area. If you have any recommendations, ideas, or know of people who may be interested in this mentorship program, let us know!
Are there any other ideas or supports that our collective could offer to help you take action around climate change? Tell us what you need to feel supported. You can comment below or email us at info@groundswellclimatecollective.com .
